Scholarly Ability/ Creative Activities:

            Intro to Theatre:         

Restructured my coursework and teaching methods to streamline the information and have a more effective teaching strategy.

                        -loaned personal Books to the Library for student use

          Scenic Design  -SUNY Cortland:       

                        Kindertransport Dowd- Lab Theatre, Oct 2017

                                    -experimented with creating alternate locations within a unit set

- explored a scrim effect allowing an actor to be revealed behind a wall by the use of lighting

                        Little Women, Dowd Theatre, Dec. 2017

-explored using moving screens and projecting custome images onto them for scene locations,

controlling 3 independent projectors

                        Top Girls, Lab Theatre, Feb 2018

-Learned a new projection mapping program, Isadora, to create animated and reactionary projection

effects

Spring Dance Demo 2018- formerly under work lights.  I’m developing this as a project for future Lighting design students

            Scenic Painter for 4 Department Productions.          

            Props Master for Department Productions

            Lighting designer for the fall Freshman Cabaret review.

            Worked closely with students in the Scene shop, teaching effective and safe methods of construction and

painting.

Continued a dialogue with the Art Dept about collaborating in course work as we grow into a BFA.  

Member of the second Music Director search committee, present for phone, interviews, campus visits and attending their classroom presentations.

Member of the Voice Lecturer search committee, sitting in on phone, interviews, campus visits and attending their classroom presentations.

Joined the Curriculum Committee for the Performing Arts Dept.

THT 100 -used the campus Architecture, recorded campus sounds and created homework assignments designed to

make students more aware of their surroundings and environment.

THT 100- brought in my own music production equipment and music instruments to illustrate my lessons in sound

production and provide a hands on learning experience.

THT 240 -  brought in my own live music equipment and instruments to illustrate my lessons in sound production

and provide a hands on learning experience.

Taught a guitar class to students in the Performing Arts Dept to give them another edge when trying to get cast.
