The Bone Harp- A co-production with Create Theater a non-profit group dedicated to developing and workshopping new musicals. They approached us to work with them to develop new musicals utilizing our students and our space. The idea is that the musical would be performed in a reading format, music stands and unrefined. There would be a period of time to rework the script, music or songs. There would be another viewing and then the audience, cast, writers and composer would have a talk-back to discuss what was working or being communicated and what was lacking or needed developing.
For this project we were on a restricted budget and decided to use existing materials and paint for the design. Originally scheduled to be a presentation in Dowd rm 110, we decided to make more of a production out of it, adding lights, set and props.
