Ghosts in the Park

Cortland Repertory theatre October 2020

Covid-19 closed theatre worldwide. CRT wanted to produce a second drive through experience. They decided to reverse the performer and audience relationship. Inspired by the amusement park, The Enchanted Forest in Old Forge, they decided to have the audience move from story to story. Based on classic scary monsters and stories CRT used Dwyer Memorial park in Preble, NY to create a drive through theatre event. For this project, the audience would drive through in cars and the cast, comprised of PAI dance students, friend pods and family cohorts acted inside these vignettes. This kept performers and audiences safely apart. CRT asked SUNY Cortland Performing Arts for help. We created props, puppets and masks for this project.
